Norridge, IL… State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) invites residents to take advantage of a free document shredding event on Saturday, September 28th.
“Events like these are hugely important to residents when it comes to protecting themselves from identity theft,” Rep. Stephens said. “It’s an incredibly easy and quick process that brings peace of mind to those who have documents they just don’t feel comfortable throwing away.”
The event, which is co-hosted with Cook County Commissioner Pete Silvestri, will run from 9 am to noon. Drivers will bring their vehicles up to the truck where volunteers will be available to unload document. Drivers are asked not to exit their vehicles. If a driver wishes to watch their documents go through the shredding process, park and watch spots will be available. Due to expected volume, only two boxes of shreddable documents will be accepted from each vehicle. No electronics will be accepted for recycling or disposal.
