CHICAGO – This October, State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont), Alderman Anthony Napolitano (41st Ward), and the Chicago Fire Department are hosting a Prescription Drug Drop Off Event. Residents are invited to join them at this event on Wednesday, October 6th from 9 AM – 12 Noon at the Chicago Fire Department (6030 N Avondale, Chicago).
“Safely disposing of prescription medications is vitally important to keeping households and communities safe,” said Rep. Stephens. “I’m proud to be hosting this event with Alderman Napolitano and the Chicago Fire Department to ensure residents properly dispose of these products.”
Rep. Stephens, Alderman Napolitano, and the Chicago Fire Department with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office will be collecting unwanted or expired prescription drugs and safely disposing of them at this free, outdoor event. Brochures on state programs will also be available.
Accepted medications at this event include prescription medications, prescription ointments and patches, pet medications, and vitamins. Restricted items include needles and illegal drugs.
