CHICAGO – Next week, State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) is hosting a backpack giveaway at his district office. This back-to-school supply drive will occur from Monday, August 7th to Friday, August 11th between 10 AM and 3 PM. This drive is in coordination with Chicago Public Schools and each backpack will have school supplies in them as well.
“While this is an exciting time for many families as we look to the return to schools, it can also be stressful for families struggling financially to get the needed school supplies,” said Rep. Stephens. “This drive will help families in our communities set their children and students up for success for the school year. I encourage all who need this assistance to stop by our office next week for free backpacks and school supplies!”
Constituents are instructed to pick up backpacks with school supplies at Rep. Stephens’ Chicago district office (5515 N. East River Rd.). Visitors can enter through the front door and receive directions from the front desk to Rep. Stephens’ office. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
