State Representative Brad Stephens Appointed Assistant House Minority Leader

ROSEMONT – State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) has been appointed Assistant House Minority Leader for the 104th General Assembly by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie. Stephens was elected to his third full term this past November.

Rep. Stephens represents the 20th House District that includes both the City of Chicago and suburban Cook County and brings his extensive knowledge of the issues facing law enforcement, first responders, and local governments to the caucus. In fact, Stephens is the only member of the House Republican Caucus who represents the City of Chicago and one of three members in the caucus representing Cook County.

“I am truly honored to again be asked to serve as Assistant House Republican Leader for Leader McCombie and I am excited to continue our work in the Republican caucus. We will urge our friends across the aisle to support our ideas that will help grow the economy, create jobs for working families, fight skyrocketing property taxes, and urge support for law enforcement while combating the ongoing crime issues impacting our families and local businesses,” said State Representative Brad Stephens.

“Leader Stephens works tirelessly for his communities and brings extensive knowledge to our caucus from his work at the state and local level,” said Leader McCombie. “He prioritizes the needs of his constituents and is a well-respected voice on the public policies our state needs and Illinois families deserve.”

“With the last General Assembly finally behind us, there is much work to do for the hardworking people of the 20th District. I look forward to serving my District in Springfield and around the district working on bringing financial relief and safer communities for our families,” said Rep. Stephens.
