Annual State Budget Address Set for February 18th

State Representative Brad Stephens will be back in the Illinois State Capitol for legislative session this month, which notably will include the Governor’s annual State of the State and Budget Address.

With the state facing a $2.2 billion deficit projected for the next fiscal year, lawmakers are primed to listen closely to the new proposal for FY27. House Republicans have been continued to advocate for affordability measures, and this year will be no different.

Residents can tune in live to the address, on February 18th at noon, on ilga.gov. Representative Stephens will release a statement after the address to share his feedback.
