March: Women’s History Month

Today marks the first day of Women’s History Month and a time to celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of women from our state and around the world.

When lawmakers return to Springfield later this month, there will be a number of recognitions to honor women throughout history – and women from Illinois – who have made a difference and helped pave the way for others to follow.

State Representative Brad Stephens is looking forward to helping recognize exemplary women throughout history and those today making an impact. The Representative will again be participating in the annual House Republican “Women to Watch” event that brings female leaders from across Illinois to the capitol for a day of recognition and celebration.
