After the $55.9 Billion Fiscal Year 2027 State Budget was signed by Governor Pritzker, Assistant Minority Leader and State Representative Brad Stephens reiterated the concerns he expressed when the budget passed the General Assembly on June 1.
“Illinois families are looking for affordability, stability, and opportunity. They need a budget that helps keep costs down, strengthens local businesses, and supports economic growth. Instead, this proposal relies on tax increases, gimmicks, and fund sweeps; it is out of touch with what our state truly needs.”
