ROSEMONT – State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) and Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri (R-Elmwood Park) are hosting a Drive Thru Flu Shot and COVID-19 Vaccination Event on Wednesday, September 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon.
Rep. Stephens and Commissioner Silvestri invite residents to join them at the Rosemont Theater parking lot (5400 N River Rd., Rosemont) for this drive thru event. Walgreens will be providing flu shots that will be available to all residents. The Cook County Department of Public Health will also provide a COVID-19 mobile vaccination clinic and will be providing the Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines to eligible individuals for free.
“I’m glad to be providing flu shots and COVID-19 vaccinations with Commissioner Silvestri at this drive thru event,” said Rep. Stephens. “Getting vaccinated against flu and COVID-19 are important to protecting the health and safety of ourselves and our communities. I’m looking forward to this event that will help keep us healthy as we enter cold and flu season.”
“I urge everyone to listen to their doctors and get vaccinated as soon as possible,” Commissioner Silvestri said. “The Flu season could be especially severe, and getting infected with both at the same time could be particularly dire.”
Participants can enter the parking lot off Technology Boulevard and are asked to please bring their Medicare/insurance cards. Face coverings are required and brochures on state programs will be available.
