Annual Summer Reading Program: Now Live!

State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) is proud to offer his annual Summer Reading Program once again to students across the 20th District. Young readers are invited to take part in the “Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program,” which is now live!

“Reading throughout the summer months is essential for kids to keep up their learning and grow their imagination,” said Stephens. “I encourage eligible students pick up a great book this summer and dive right in!”

Kindergarten through 8th grade students who live in or attend school in the 20th District can participate by reading ten books over summer vacation. Books longer than 150 pages may count as two books, and books read for local library programs also qualify.

Students who complete the ten-book goal will receive a voucher for two tickets to a Chicago Wolves game.

After finishing their reading, parents can find the form HERE to submit the number of books their child completed over the summer. Families may also mail or drop off a paper form, available for download on the website, at Rep. Stephens’ district office located at 8323 W. Lawrence Ave. in Norridge.

The forms are due by August 14th.

Informational brochures on state and local programs will also be available. Constituents with questions can call (773) 444-0611.
