Rep. Stephens Calls Budget a Bad Deal for Taxpayers

After the $55.9 Billion State Budget was voted on and passed on party lines in the Illinois House, Assistant Minority Leader and State Representative Brad Stephens issued the following statement:

“Illinois families are looking for affordability, stability, and opportunity. They need a budget that helps keep costs down, strengthens local businesses, and supports economic growth. Instead, this proposal relies on tax increases, gimmicks, and fund sweeps; it is out of touch with what our state truly needs.”
