Today the bipartisan Legislative Ethics Commission (LEC) voted unanimously to release a report detailing the sexual harassment complaint regarding former State Representative Harry Benton. State Representative Brad Stephens praised the vote to release the report, and issued the following statement:
“As a legislator we should hold ourselves to the highest standard treating everyone with the utmost respect in everything we do. Sometimes there are those that get lost in their own importance and believe they are “above the law” and that is totally unacceptable. I have and always will respect my colleagues, staff members, and constituents equally. I want to thank the commission for voting to do the right thing and bringing needed transparency to this issue.”
