Chicago/Norridge — State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Chicago) will be hosting a blood drive in partnership with the Salvation Army of Norridge. The event will take place on Thursday, June 25th at the Salvation Army in Norridge, 8354 W. Foster, from 12:30-5:30pm.
Rep. Stephens is exited to host the blood to help increase the supply of blood in Illinois. “Due to COVID the entire country is currently experiencing a severe blood shortage. Unfortunately, the pandemic isn’t hurting the supply of already rare blood types,” said Stephens. “Your donations at this blood drive can help improve the supply and save a life.”
As a safety precaution, donations will be by appointment only (no walk-ins) and face coverings will be required. Blood donors will also be given a free COVID-19 antibody test. To make an appointment, please visit: https://donateblood.lifesource.org and Enter code: 053B (Zero-Five-Three-B).
Spots are limited for blood donation, so interested residents should make an appointment as soon as possible. However, donations are in high demand during this pandemic.
