In the heart of the Rock River Valley, the 385-acre White Pines Forest State Park is perfect for family getaways. You can hike, fish, camp, and picnic at this picturesque park. Over 100 campsites and youth group campgrounds are available and the White Pines Lodge has modern amenities. It also has the White Pines Lodge Restaurant with a dinner theater! Season archery and firearm deer hunting is also available at this park.

Rock Cut State Park

Near the Rock River and Rockford is Rock Cut State Park! The 3,254 acres of the park includes two lakes, hiking trails, horseback riding trails, wildlife watching, and seasonal hunting programs. A beautiful campground is also home to 270 premium campsites, a rustic cabin, and a youth group camp and shelters. Abundant wildlife reside in the park, including waterfowl, deer, fox, muskrat, woodchuck, beaver, opossum, raccoon, gray squirrel, and fox squirrel. Over 100 types of wildflowers pop up each spring and summer.
